Hello Dolly

We have supported The infant feeding team at the Rosie by buying ten new dolls to teach breastfeeding for the infant feeding staff training and the service user breastfeeding classes where Mums are taught face to face.

“Thank you, your funding has been invaluable and the dolls will be used for many years to come at the Rosie to teach and demonstrate effective positioning and attachment in teaching families to breastfeed.”

“I just wanted to take the time to say thank you for funding our dolls for
infant feeding care we provide to our families at the Rosie both after birth
and in our antenatal education breastfeeding workshops.”

“We hold breastfeeding sessions weekly, and the dolls are now in full use on the ward with our families daily.”

We have several more requests for funding, so any donations will be gratefully received. All the money raised goes to the Rosie.

A Slice of Heaven

We are so pleased to be able to supply the LED Sky Ceiling Panels with Dimming Functionality to rooms 1 and 2 on the delivery unit. These rooms are used by the bereavement team for pregnancy losses at any stage of the pregnancy.

We have received lots of really lovely feedback saying it’s calming, providing hope and reminding them that good days are to come.

“The lighting makes the delivery unit rooms a more pleasant birthing experience for mums”

“It was lovely to have something different to look at, my partner and I thought they were lovely”

“It was so nice to see some of the `outside world’ as the windows are glazed and you can feel quite boxed in otherwise”

“As a member of staff, it’s so useful having an unobtrusive light so you can still do things like routine observations etc without disturbing the couple too much but still being able to see to work”

“It is a transformation of the whole birthing space for labouring women and families both with live births and those who are bereaved.”

Just like Father

Our charity accepts commissions for items that are out of stock or not in our catalogue.

If we do not already have the yarn in our donated stash then the fee will include the purchase of enough suitable yarn to complete the project.

August 2019 A query from a visitor to our stall. “Can you make a matching pair of jumpers for my twin sons to match the jumper that was made for them as babies?”

“I have just bought two gorgeous cardigans and the lady said you may be able to do a couple of jumpers to order if I sent the pattern.

If this is possible please could I have a navy and a light blue jumper in age 2-3 in this pattern? My cousin’s granny knitted it for them and I loved it so much!!! I should think the pattern is extremely old!!

Please do let me know how much they’d be and where and when I’d collect them from?

Thank you so much

Also would it be possible to do the same pattern in a grey and white stripe and a light blue and white stripe in age 1-2? ”

The four jumpers took 6 weeks to knit.

May 2021 “They have worn and worn them and I’d love two more please if possible, size 4-5 years. ”

The two jumpers were completed in four weeks.

September 2021 “It’s me again and I’d love two more jumpers please if you are able to?

I’d like one in roughly size 1-2 years and one in 3-4 years they will be for the children of a friend.

I’d like 1-2 in the light blue and 3-4 in navy please. Here is a photo of the gorgeous ones you made for my boys.”
