Annual General Meeting 2017

At the 2017 AGM held at the Rosie on March 6th 2017, Anna Shasha, Head of Midwifery at the Rosie, thanked the Friends of the Rosie for all the equipment that the Friends had bought for her department, including breast feeding pumps and cots, and for the community midwives jaundice monitors and temperature controlled drugs bags.

The Friends have also paid for the redecoration of a room and a black out blind in the Ultra-sound department.

Anna continued that above all, the Friends make the staff feel valued in this age of cutbacks.

Mary Sanders, chair of the Friends, thanked all our members for their various contributions, whether running  the Tea Bar in the Rosie Out-Patients clinic, knitting or helping out on our fund-raising stalls. She thanked the team at St Ivo school for choosing us as their project and Alex Cavanagh from ACT who is being very helpful.

Avril Williams and her team of knitters was thanked for raising nearly £1,300 from knitted goods sold at the Rosie clinic tea bar and at stalls around the county.

New members are always welcome, whether to contribute financially, to join our team of knitters, to organise the three large stalls per year at Addenbrooke’s Outpatients, provide transport for our volunteers, display a small selection of our wares or to help on the Rosie tea bar. Contact Mary Sanders on 01223 356615.

Thank you for your continued support”
